1789 Hub proudly presents this premier student startup event, made possible by the generous support of the Joan and Chester Luby Charitable Trust. This invitation-only competition recognizes some of the most promising ventures at UNC–Chapel Hill.

Participating teams have already received support from the 1789 Student Venture Fund, with their applications reviewed by UNC faculty, staff, and community mentors. After being invited to compete, students submitted recorded video pitches for evaluation. During the live event, finalist teams will pitch to our esteemed panel of judges. The audience will also have the chance to vote for their favorite team to win the Viewer’s Choice Award.
